Amanda and Jessica

So today was my first photo shoot since I started my “Andy needs photogenic models for his portfolio” group on Facebook. I’ve been wanting to do a shoot in the stairwell of the Art Center at Orange Coast College (OCC) and I finally found a model that I thought would go well for that location. Amanda was in my photo class last semester so I figured it would be fun to revisit. She also brought her friend Jessica which made things more comfortable and I feel like they learned from each other. We had a great time and I got a bunch of pics that will help me update my portfolio and get my name er… work out there. And Jessica and Amanda will get some pics of themselves that I hope they’re happy with.

Aspiring Fashion Model

I still don’t know what I want to do when I grow up. Currently, family portraits and weddings are keeping me fairly busy. But there’s many genres of photography that I’ve contemplated getting into. I’ve come to have fun practicing fashion photography. A great way to find aspiring and working models is Model Mayhem. That’s how I met Melissa. It was a blast working with her. She was offered the chance of a modeling career when she was in her late teens but turned it down to go to school. Smart girl. But her passion for modeling has always stayed with her and she asked me to help her build a portfolio.
